Hello,
Here's a sentence: "Tim only had a faint/slight/vague idea of what Caroline did for living." I think that they are all acceptable, but I would like to see what you think first.

Suggesting "faint" was clearly insane, I admit it. Sorry. I couldn't find it used in collocation with idea. Only a few examples...
