Sleep through and Cut through

Could you tell me if you can say these please and if the rest of setence is correct?

1 She slept through her station and woke up at the terminus.

2 It takes longer to get home from the station than it does to get to the station because on your way to the station you cut through a part of town.

And could you correct this question please?

(In) what year did the first man walk on the moon?

thank you

both of these sentences look fine. " In this case, if you were to say "the man," you would be referring to a specific man, with the assumption that the reader would know which specific man you're referring to. When you just say "man" it means mankind in general, which I think is what you want here.
