slash or dash

Hi,

What should I use in situations like this?

a teacher-student (teacher/student) relationship

Can you think of a situation where a slash would be used? I have seen a slash being used in what looks to be similar types of adjective to adjective formation.

I like the dash here. I see the slash mostly, it seems to me, when it means 'or': We accept A/B students.
