Slant

Slant -
Oxford Dictionary: 2a. "particular point of view from which something is seen or presented.
Example: a new slant on science"

Is it permissible to use the word slant this way:

"I hope you will find the slant of the analysis of US foreign policy in this essay interesting." ?

Top answer

Hi, I wouldn't. The normal approach is to talk of a slant on something. It's a stronger, clearer way of speaking.

Hi,

Fine.

Have a look also at the word 'angle'.

Sure. I try to use less common words for word variation.

Thank you.
