how to pronounce "skolyte" in english. It's a type of an insect.

I don't think we use this word in English. It's "skolytus". I have not been able to find a site that gives the pronunciation, but it should rhyme with "colitis", which you can hear at that entry in the Merriam-Webster dictionary online.
