'Skills'...and 'fewer'. (I am a conservative on the 'less/fewer' point.) 'Skill' is more often countable, so it is a simple matter of deciding whether one skill or several are probably involved in any particular context.

I see. It's always safe to be conservative when it comes to language.
Otherwise, a lot of people would start to misuse it, I think.
