Hi Friends,

The big pizza was being reduced to the size of a pancake.

Can we say it like this to express that they started making a huge pizza but it was being reduced to a small size now (hence the comparison with pancakes)?

"Reduced" is puzzling. I have to put on my thinking cap to try to see how you can reduce a large pizza and retain its shape. "The size of a pancake" is good, but the puzzle remains.
