Size eights

I heard this phrase or word 'eights' from a listening material which is talking about a pair of jeans. But they said size four(no 's'). So is it idiomatic or any other things?

Top answer

It should be singular when speaking about one article of clothing: She wears a size eight in jeans. It is possible to use the plural when speaking of several items: Marie: I am so tired of my clothes. I feel like I don't have anything to wear.
