Sit idly/ sit idle

Hiya!

Is it Ok to say i am a lazy person and i love to sit idle. Should we use sit idly here?

I have the feeling that 'to sit idle' turned into a verb phrase, similar to the verb phrase 'to sit tight' instead of the verb+adverb 'to sit tightly'.

It is not in the dictionary, though.
