Sirens capitalized?

Hello,
I have a question regarding capitalization of names of groups of people.

I would like to know if Sirens need to be capitalized.

The Sirens I am writing about is not an organization, but the mystical creatures of the deep. I believe siren - singular should be lower case if im no mistaken, but I wasnt sure of the Plural use.

Please let me know.

Thanks!

Thanks, what about "empress" ? I believe the king in most cases is lower case, so would the empress be as well?
