singular/plural?

0I've come across a sentence in the study notes my Chemistry teacher gave us. It starts with the words "At a given electric and magnetic field strength .... ". I think strength should be plural because the sentence is about both the electric field strength and magnetic field strength, but then I don't know how to correct the sentence because of the article "a". 02br
00Can you correct it for me, please?02br
00Thanks in advance.0-

0Simply omit the "a" if you wish to mention two strengths. What, may I ask, is an electric field? Are you possibly thinking of a static charge? I'm just wondering if your teacher was actually talking about two different fields, as you say. In my mind, the field around an electromagnet is the same as that around a permanent magnet, and electromagnetic radiation is a horse of a different color
