singular vs plural

Ex.

It has wooden floor(s).
The interior(s) of the building were well decorated.
The interior(s) of the building were well decorated.

Q. Do we need the "s" for all of the above cases?

If so, if all rooms and areas within the building have ONE type of floor, we can go with the singular version?

Can we go with "the interior of the buildings"?

So multiple buildings with one interior? or should we put the interiors instead?
