Singular or plural

Is the plural 'theses' more appropriate than the singular 'thesis' in this sentence because each person has to submit their own, which is what I want to say?

Do we have to submit our 'theses' to the committee by the end of this month?

Thanks.

Thanks a lot for your help! I am assuming the same would apply if I used other words here such as articles, documents etc. Right?

If each person has to submit their own, yes. If it's joint authorship for one document or article, then no.
