I would say that "realia" is both singular and plural (much like information, advice, etc.).
For what it's worth, here's its origin as presented by the Oxford dictionary:
ORIGIN 1950s: from late Latin, neuter plural (used as a noun) of realis ‘relating to things’ (see real 1 ).
