Singular and plural nouns

Add a sunglasses tint to children's favourite pair of glasses.

I feel as thought the nouns are not matching in terms of number.

Should it not be written as follows?

Add sunglasses tints to children's pairs of glasses

'A' modifies 'pair', so the structure is fine (and common). While I see your concern, your alternative actually reads as less felicitious (too many 's's).

Mister Micawber'A' modifies 'pair
Sorry, are you referring to the article before sunglasses and saying that it modifies 'pair' (as well as sunglasses), which makes 'pair' singular?
