any medical words and terms are of Latin or Greek origin. They do not follow the English
grammar rules. Here are some examples as to how to convert singulars to plurals in medical
terms.

SINGULAR FORM PLURAL FORM

1. If the singular forms ends in a add e
2. If " ends in um change um to a
3. If " ends in us change us to i
4. If " ends in is change is to es
5. If " ends in ax/ix change ax/ix to ces
6. If " ends in ex change ex to ices
7. If " ends in nx change x to ges
8. If " ends in en change en to ina
9. If " ends in on change on to a
10.If " ends in ma add ta
