Single or plural question

Quick question, in a situation where two entities are working as one, and it is their combined work that is being referred to, is the singular or plural used?

The sentence I typed was "So far, multiple part time roles covering incoming phone calls has not worked". It feels wrong to use "has" rather than "have". The key point however is that each role worked by itself, its the combination that has failed.

So is it "has" or "have"?

Hi
Are these correct?

Anyone can deposit their money in the bank.

A person deposits their money in the bank.

I mean, when the *** is not clear, do we use "their"?
