Single

You're not going to be single any longer.

What does this sentence mean? Does it mean my friend's gonna get a boyfriend soon?

Thanks.

Youre right. My friend's getting married soon, but couldn't it be said to an actual single person.

Not completely indiscriminately, no. It wouldn't make sense to say it to a single person who has no intention of ever getting married, for example. It seems to me that you would only say it to someone who is going to be married fairly soon.
