Singing techniques

I want to sing for national TV. What kind of standards can I have? Can anyone sing or must one possess a good voice? What are the tecniques to use? Please help.

i believe anyone can sing because no matter what you sound like...(really good or ****) thats only one persons oppinion, and everyone has different oppinions and tastes in music so i suggest you just go for it and have fun... GOOD LUCK

It doesnt seem like anyone on national tv has stadards at all. But if you dont suck you have a decent chance.

Go to singing lessons. Anyone can train their voice for singing.

just sing your heart out for the lads!!! thats all i have to say!!! have fun!!! have you ever read a bool called "P.S. I love you"??? well that was what she did!!! she sang her heart out infront of an audience!!! not infront of the whole nation like you but that was close enough!!! she was in a a pub and it was packed!!!
