Sing the music or music

Plz tell me if "sing the music" or "sing music" is grammatical.

Top answer

Both phrases are grammatically possible, but that is not to say that both or either will be appropriate in your situation. In particular, since "sing" itself normally implies something musical, the word "music" may not be necessary at all. More context please.

They are grammatical. The speaker uses 'the' when he or she knows which music he is referring to.
