Could you tell me which one is right among the following sentence?

1A. Tom lived in New York for 3 years when I met him in 2010.
1B. Tom had lived in New York for 3 years when I met him in 2010.
1C. Tom had been living in New York for 3 years when I met him in 2010.

2A. Tom lived in New York for 3 years since 2010 that I met him.
2B. Tom had lived in New York for 3 years since 2010 that I met him.
2C. Tom had been living in New York for 3 years since 2010 that I met him.

In careful writing, it is good style to write small numbers in words, i.e. "three" not "3".
