Since last time

Is it possible to use a vague point of time like 'last year' after the preposition 'since', as you can see in the following sentences:

A. It has been seven years since last time.

B. Your hair has grown a lot since last time. (This sentence is included in a certain English dictionary, presumably not in a British or American dictionary, though.)
