Since I talked to him

1-Did he leave the house after I talked to him?
2-Did he leave the house since I talked to him?

I suppose one could use:
3-Has he left the house since I talked to him?

But let us imagine that he has passed away. In that case, one could not use 3. I am pretty sure '1' works but I am not sure about '2'.

Gratefully,
Navi.

(1) and (3) are OK. (2) doesn't seem right. If he has since died then one would use (1).
