'since after'

Hi all,

I have a question about usage of the words 'since after'.

Does this phrase take clausal complements?

ex) My girlfriend and I haven't spoken to each other since after we got into a huge fight last week.

If so, how does omitting 'after' change the meaning of the sentence?

ex) My girlfriend and I haven't spoken to each other since we got into a huge fight last week.

Any answers are welcome. Thanks.

-- Only this sentence is correct when 'since' means 'after'. 'Since' can also mean 'because'; in that case, the two words can be used together: ' My g irlfriend and I don't speak to each other, since after we had a huge fight last week she married my brother. '

I see now that it is possible, but it is very awkwardly constructed.

Today is Tuesday. She returned from visiting her mother on Sunday.

They have not been intimate since she returned from visiting her mother.= They have not been intimate since Sunday.

They have not been intimate since after she returned from visiting her
