Hello,
1. Since the boy worked hard, he made a good result. (Complex sentence)
I have to change it into a compound sentence.
A. The boy worked hard and therefore he made a good result.
B. The boy worked hard and he made a good result.
Are both #A and #B correct?
Is 'therefore' required as in #1?
Thanks.

Neither is a good choice, and both are wrong because of the 2nd clause (see comment above).
The boy worked hard, and he succeeded.
The boy worked hard, so he succeeded.
