Hello. If you are kind, I wanna know if the following sentence it's correct. If not, please, tell me why. I also wanna know what rules are used and stuff.
the sentence is: "it is 4 months since we are belonging together"

shouldn't that be "...since we've been together"? I don't think that "are" makes much sense...

It has been 4 months since we are together. - This is fine. "We are together" is a fact establsihed. How long has it been since this fact? Its' been 4 months. For the same paralell, one would most likely say "It's been a month since she broke her arm falling down the stairs", not " has broken".

It has been 4 months since we are together. This doesn't work. 'Since' needs a point in the past.

eg - It has been 4 months since we moved in/got together.

That's why we say "It's been a month since she broke her arm . . . ''

and not "It's been a month since she br

Kooyeenshouldn't that be "...since we've been together"? I don't think that "are" makes much sense...
