I think "sins" is okey here than "sin"..... since "their" represents the plurality of people who attempted the illegal acts and just being in plural means they did not do the sin in the same way. Therefore I can reason that, "sin" is not satisfactory word to use here for it is more confusing, it mean that the people referred in the statement had attempted same illegal act and so since it is no
