Simply

1a. The girl next door is a good student, dresses very simply, but when the night falls, she works for a massage parlor.
1b. After several times calling but Mary's husband didn't pick up his cell phone, Mary got mad and drove to the restaurant and stabbed him 3 stabs.

- Are these sentences grammatical and ok to say?
