It is not reasonable to expect that China and other emerging economies will reduce carbon emissions. More than one methodology is used to determine emissions, so even the amount of carbon emitted in any given year is a matter of debate.

I see one major issue with the revision. Perfesent perfect can not be used in past tense, and double "which" clause is not a good writing style.
