SIMPLE TENSE OR CONTINUOUS

How would you say this sentence please?

1 I dreamt it happened/was happening while it happened/was happening in real life. I had a sort of premonition.
2 I dream it happens/is happening while it happens/ is happening in real life. I have a sort of premonition.

The four sentences can be used, be consistent with the tense in each part:- I dreamt it happened - the dream is in the past and the action that happened was before the dream I dreamt it was happening - the dream is in the past and the action was happening at the time of the dream I dream it happens /it is happening - I have this dream on a regular basis and the "it" happens on a regular basis.
