Simple task 1 for the beginner

The graph below compares changes in the birth rates of China and the
USA between 1920 and 2000. The red line presentes for the China, and the blue one is related to USA.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.Write at least 150 words.

The line graph illustrates the readers a general birth rate comparison between America and China in the 1920 - 2000 period.

Overall, both nations gave a clearly decreasing of trend in these 80 years. Although the two trends were similar in term of a general decline, the birth rate of the USA in most years was higher than of China.

Between 1920 and 1935, even the birth rate of the USA fluctuated though it still remained above 10%. In the next 10 years, the birth rate hit its bottom at below 5%. In contrast, in the year of 1950, the figure for America dramatically reached the peak of 15% before slowly falling in the remainder of the period. By the year 2000, it fell to approximately 7%.

Over the same period, the birth rate in China strongly fluctuated and hit the certainly lowest point of 5%. After remaining the same value in the following 5 years, the figure toughed its peak, up to 20%, in the year of 1950. The birh rate of China sharply dropped to around 10% in the next 5-year-period, then falling to approximately 3% in 2000.
