The example sentence is

Some of you will take this test tomorrow

I have to identify the simple subject and simple predicate

I have written

Simple subject=You The subject is some of you. I guess you could say the simple subject is some.


Simple predicate=Will

What if the sentence is

Mr. Watson is a great football coach

would it be SS = Mr. Watson SP=Is

The predicate consists of what you are saying about the subject. eg in Mary cooked dinner, Mary is the subject and cooked dinner is the predicate.

In your example We baked a delicious chocolate cake, we is the subject and baked a delicious chocolate cake is the predicate.
