Simple subject and predicate

1.Lie is my best friend
2. The moon is shining.
3. The tired old man came in from the rain.
4. I'm very hungry.
5. The bird's feathers were long.
6. People really need to stop listening.
7. Dinner will be ready in fifteen minutes.
Are "lie", "the moon", "the tired old man", "bird's feathers", "people", and "dinner" simple subjects?
And are "is", "is shining", "came", "were", "need", and "will be" simple predicates?
