Simple past tense and present perfect in one sentence.

Hello,

I'm not sure if the following sentence is grammatically correct? Would you be able to help me please?

"I've tried this perfume (before) and it did not work well with my body chemistry."

Is this okay to combine simple past and present perfect tense this way?

Thank you.
