Hi MM,could we replace it by using the "going to" form?

"Last week, it was revealed that the two boys of TVXQ were going to make their comeback to the Korean music industry by releasing a OST track for SBS‘ "Athena: Goddess of War."

Not really; one cannot really 'plan' a successful comeback, one can only try, so the 'going-to' future seems odd here. Also, I notice that it should be 'comeback in', not 'comeback to'.
