Simple apostrophe question

Quick question.
Reading an article online about a video game's consol design, the writer said, "Some examples of this disconnect include: the consoles use of square grid-like patterns for venting..."
Shouldn't it be "console's", with an apostrophe? Because you're not talking about the plural form of the word?
I just want to check if I'm not being a complete vegetable.
