Similies Part 1 - Adjectives

Hi, can someone please approve my answers to the following similies:

In the following sentences find the adjectives, and add to them fairly long similies (comparisons). Don’t try to be funny:



Example: That work is easy.

That work is as easy as shelling peas.



My answers are in red font.



1. The grass was green. (as snooker baize)

2. The sands were level. (as a crossing, or bridge or playing-field)

3. The ground was hard. (as iron or nails)

4. The trees were high. (as a kite)

5. The train was slow. (as a snail or tortoise)

6. The children were happy. (as a king, or school-boy or lark)

I did put my suggested answers in the brackets. I just forgot to highlight them in red font as suggested.

Just a future point, I do always put up my suggested responses to the questions.
