Silently/quietly

Hi teachers.

We came out onto the roof and took in the amazing view of the city, glowing silently/quietly in the night.

- Is the last part of the sentence OK or does it sound unnatural to you?

- Are "silently" and "quietly" equally natural here or do you prefer one of them?

silently means there was no noise.

quietly sounds like there was a little noise.

The comma makes it sound grammatically like you were glowing. Delete it. To glow silently is no great feat because glowing never produces sound. You could call that synethesia, but it would be better if the words added up to something, and they don't. I would stick with visual
