Silent letters

Palm , Pitch, judge, listen. The underlined letters are silent. Right?

But I couldn't figure out which "e" in scheme is silent.

It seems questionable whether the "t" and "d" are silent. Just because "ch" by itself can have a "tch" sound, it does not mean that the "t" in "tch" is not pronounced.
