Sign of the zodiac/zodiac sign

Hello everyone,

Can we use both "zodiac sign" and "sign of the zodiac" in the sentence below?

- My zodiac sign/sign of the zodiac is Sagittarius.

I think that sign of the zodiac is more common, but I am not sure if "zodiac sign" works.

Thank you.

Both are good. Usually, if you just say "sign," people know what you mean. My sign is Libra.

Yes. It's more common and older. It's been in use since at least 1800. There have been sporadic uses of 'zodiac sign' since that time as well, but the expression did not take off until about the 1950s and since then its frequency has tripled. It has not yet overtaken 'sign of the zodiac', however.
