Sign

Is there any sign showing that he is here?

This setence is a bit abnormal because there is a that-clause after present participle.

Does it seem OK to you? thanks.

Is it better to have a tense sequence in the sentence?

1. Is there any sign showing that he was here?

2. Is there any sign showing that he has been here?

Hi kl00453-

Here are 3 variations in tense. All of these are fine.

1. Is there any sign showing that he is here? (Is there evidence that he is here now?)

2. Is there any sign showing that he was here? (Is there evidence that he was here in the past? You can add a time reference - e.g. yesterday, last week, etc.)
3. Is there any sign showing that he has been here? (
