sidetalk

Please is the word 'sidetalk' correct to describe the following situation?

Two students are talking with each other while a teacher is teaching.

I didn't find it in dictionaries, so it must be wrong.

Please, what is the correct word?

Thank you

Yes, it's not correct. I can't think of a single word. I'd just say it another way.
