"The two houses stood side by side." "The two houses stood alongside of each other."
I have two questions. Which one is common to be used? If such a sentence was the beginning of a tale, could it be: Two houses stood... Some two houses stood... There were two houses standing...
Thanks in advance.
Top answer
Some two houses stood... " I think that 'side by side' is probably more common.
