Shun, ostracize , bully

I looked up the the following words shun, ostracize , bully in a dicionary, but I don't see the differnce. Can you explain to me?

For example, he was shunned/ostracized/bullied by his coworkers.

They are not really very closely related. I suggest you get a better dictionary. Shun = avoid Ostracize = formally institute being shunned by a group Bully = abuse with force and fear

Well, as I searched for it in the Austrialian Oxford Dictionary, I ended up with following meanings!

Shun: Avoid,

Ostracize:Exclude (a person) from a society,

Bully: a person who uses strength or power to coerce others by fear.
