Shuffle and swaying hips

context:
Since her mother left, Evelin's *** shuffle has given way to a sultry stroll. Those swaying hips unsettle her grandmother.

What does "shuffle" mean here? "*** shuffle" means "Evelin is a shy girl"? Since what is followed is "a sultry stroll" -- "a sensual Teddy girl"?

"Swaying hips", literally means "swaying butts" which amplifies on "voluptuous behavior"?

Evelin is growing up. As with many preteens, she 'shuffled' her feet, i.e. did not pick them up, but dragged her shoes along noisily (as my son is doing at the moment!), and generally moved about with no self-consciousness about posture.

Her new 'sultry stroll' and 'swaying hips' are the results of the combination of maturing body and teen self-awareness.
