Shrine

As a description of a shrine, are there any grammatical mistakes ? Are they understandable? The shrine is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa shogunate, which ruled Japan for over 250 years until 1868. Full-colored buildings, and wooden sculptures of various animals symbolize the beliefs, knowledge and philosophy of the time. The shrine pavilions were registered on the World Heritage List on December 1999.

This is largely fine. I would delete the comma after "buildings", and I also have doubts about "full-colored". It may be that you mean "brightly colored" or "multi-colored".

  • "on December 1999" should be "in December 1999" ("on" is for exact dates, such as "on 13 December 1999").
