Showing surname possession

  • A gift tag reads "Merry Christmas, The Larson's". Is this correct? Would it be correct without the apostrophe and just said "The Larsons"?

If you are, say, Mark and Mary Larson, then you are "the Larsons". No apostrophe, for the same reason why Homer, Marge Simpson and the kids are "The Simpsons".
