Showcase/vitrine

Hi,

Is it 'on' or 'in' a showcase/ vitrine?
As in "The products are (in/ on) (showcase/ vitrine)."

Thank you

Nor have I. I learn something new here every day.
If it is inside the vitrine (where the cat can't get to it), it is "in".
If it is on top of the vitrine ( where the cat can jump up, knock it down and break it), it is "on".
