Hi, I have some question about grammer or...expression.
While I am reading IELTS reading passage, I found some expression which I have never seen.
The result is that a Finish child has a good chance of getting the same quality education no matter whether he or she lives in a rural village or a university town. It's almost unheard of for a child to show up hungry to school.
In that case, how can "hungry" is used for object?
I though after "show up" a noun should be used.
