Show up

Hi, is it correct to use "show up" while talking about things, not people?

Example:

Let me know if the amount I paid into your account doesn't show up in the statement.

Your example sentence is OK (actually I'd say "on" rather than "in", but that's a different matter). No doubt it's possible to devise sentences where "show up" used of an inanimate object is unnatural, but there's no general prohibition.
